WHAT TIME IS PACQUIAO FIGHT TONIGHT 2019 Pacquiao Fight in Las Vegas Nevada on 20th July 2019.
ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Pacquiao vs Thurman 2019 is set for tonight. What time is the fight tonight, what is the official start time on the Pacquiao vs Thurman fight for July 20 2019, and what is the Manny Pacquiao Boxing fight start time tonight 07/20/19? The Pacquiao vs Thurman start time is just a few hours away. Three years ago, boxing fans were told by Pacman that he was retiring. We were told by Manny that Bradley was his final fight. But tonight Pacman returns to the ring, again.
he current undefeated WBA welterweight super champion, Keith “One Time” Thurman, was in Los Angeles to do media obligations to help promote his upcoming FOX Pay-Per-View with Filipino ring legend Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao on July 20, 2019 in Las Vegas.
Five months after dominating American Adrien Broner over 12 rounds in January, Pacquiao has been getting into super shape and has been displaying a chiselled physique.
TMZ Sports was able to catch up with the champion and told him about Pacquiao’s hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach putting down money on his fighter to beat him. Thurman laughed at the thought of it.
And Roach said Pacquiao was ready to serve up a surprise again and prove many pundits wrong that he still has a lot left in the tank despite his advancing years.
“I don’t believe it’s a good bet, but you gotta believe in your fighter,” Thurman told TMZ regarding Freddie Roach betting on Pacquiao beat him.
“His work ethic is the best in the world and he’s a great role model to the young fighters,” Roach told Fight Hub TV.
The undefeated WBA welterweight super champion countered Roach’s bet with his own, but instead of just winning the fight, the confident Floridian said he will KO Manny Pacquiao before the third round.
Roach was also asked how Pacquiao, who will be 41 in December, is still capable of competing with the top fighters in the division.
“I’m going to put some money down on the fight too,” said an excited Thurman. “Let’s go for the first or second round knockout! I don’t wanna bet straight up, I wanna bet on the KO. I’ll probably bet 10k a round.”
“We don’t want to be those guys who go from city to city and fight and just get paid,” he said. “We want to be world champions. We want to be the best.
Thurman went on to say the reason for betting $10,000 in cash is for motivation. He said it will motivate him to go for the knockout.
“There’s no sense in boxing unless you can be the best in my opinion and I’m sure in Manny’s opinion also. That’s why we are going to fight guys like this.
Thurman has no worries heading into his first main event Pay-Per-View fight. He thinks Pacquiao isn’t strong enough, too small, and too old to compete against him. Thurman has also stated many times that there is no way Pacquiao will be able to reach him with his short T-Rex arms.
“We’re not in this business just to box and make money. We want to be world champions and be the best we can be and until that happens we’ll keep fighting.
The WBA champ strongly believes he will win the fight, he even went as far to say that he doesn’t think Pacquiao’s style could ever beat his style.
“But once we see signs of [him] slowing down and he’s getting [more] maybe punishment-wise or something like that, we will have a discussion and we will retire before it’s too late.”
It’s no wonder Thurman has been cool, calm and collected, he truly believes everything he says.
Thurman said he will let his hands go on July 20th, unlike Adrien Broner who just let the Pacman have his way with him as he went on the defensive.
Roach was well pleased with Pacquiao’s performance in his last fight against Broner. The fighting senator won every round on his way to a unanimous decision and Roach expects “Pacman” to be even better this time around.
“It was a great performance by [Pacquiao]. It was the most offensive I’ve seen from Manny in a long time,” Roach said. “Manny won every round and beat a good, big guy. Broner was a good fighter at one time, he didn’t belong in the same ring with Manny Pacquiao.”
But it’s easier said than done. Pacquiao has dealt with his fair share of trash talkers threatening to knock him out only for them to avoid exchanges punches in the ring and just try to survive.
